Well here we are again the beginning of a brand new year!
I am hoping that everyone who reads has a stress free and healthy Christmas and New Year.
Ollie Enjoyed his birthday at the end of Nov and we threw a special party for him to celebrate how far he has come in the past 3 years.
Ours Christmas was fantastic! What more can i say. The lead up saw Ollie getting even more excited day by day. Wondering round saying "Christmas soon" and singing many many Christmas song that they had been learning at preschool.

So after my last blog we went back to visit the ortho and there only solution was more boots and insoles...... Not good. Ollie is now on the waiting list to be cast which hopefully wont be too long. He is also waiting for an appointment to WCS(wheelchair service) to get some new wheels as his bum is getting a little tight in his old one .. little fatty!
We went back to see Ollies other pead just before Christmas and they agreed to change his medication in a hope it settles him down. Ollie was also booked in for a barium swallow/meal by ways of a videofluoroscopy as he is still having issues with choking although this doesn't happen all the time it happens enough for them to investigate it.
So on Monday(7th) he had this done.
I have to say we are so proud of our boy. He did not moan did not get upset, he laid ever so nicely and allowed the nurse to move him in what ever position they needed him in
He was just a total star!
It was very apparent whilst watching the screen that Ollie is having big issues with reflex still dispute the medication. It was actually quite surreal watching the contents of his tummy going up and down the esophagus . But the main reason for the test is to see how his swallow is and if it is safe. We have an appointment on Mon (14th) for the result and hopefully a plan forward because even though Ollie looks well he is rarely eating hardly drinking and had gone down a nappy size so i'm also assuming he has lost weight
Pretty much short and sweet this month :)
