Has been a few month since I wrote anything..Well that's a lie I actually wrote quite a long post the other night but some how didn't save... :/
The week after Ollies MRI he had a routine appointment with Dr J. Was really surprised to find he already had the results! MRI was all clear! It's quite bitter sweet because although it rules out major nasties going on it doesn't give us the answers we long for
Ollies blood test and chromosome analysis also came back clear.
So where are we now?
Ollie is doing absolutely fab he is able to walk independently indoors as long as he has a wall, door or even a leg to hang off every so often and he is still quite wobbly and falls very often. For out doors we got him a little walker which he is a whizz on. This little metal fram on wheels has given him the ability to....RUN AWAY FROM ME!!! cheeky monkey!

As far as his posture goes, well its still pretty crap and it worries me more as the days go on. Poor boy! On a bad day even staying sat up is a struggle for him. Yet the physio doesn't seem too concerned. But we managed to also get hold of a special pushchair so now at least while we are out he can be sat in a good position and be comfortable
From this!..........................................................................To this!
Though may have to rethink the dinner time situation as even with a non slip mat to sit on we are still slipping, but that said at least we no longer have meals on the move!
Decided after a little bit of inspiration to make Ollie a sensory board. After a small issues of him screaming at it and ripping the light off he seemed to be enjoying it
Ollie still isn't talking and is working really hard with Portage on OOR (Objects Of Reference ) so we can familiarise him with this sort of basic communication before they move him onto PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Social Stories. We are also trying to and failing miserably at socialization. Ollie is very much the loan solider though will sometimes let you into his little world...... Little steps :)
We are back to see Dr C. The development pead in 2 weeks. Already have my list of questions to ask and am not backing down or taking a 'wait and see' as and answer this time round......... early intervention is the key!
So in 19 days Ollie turns 2!! Oh my, where did the time go? This is a huge milestone!
Every day the boy makes us so proud!
Nothing too fancy planed, just the usual small family tea party may be a few friends over to help celebrate.
Little Dude!
