Into the beginning of another year.
Ollie has come on in leaps and bounds. Developmentally he is behind but that is something to be expected.
Ollie is now 17 months old! And boy is he massive and did i mention cheeky?

Ollie taking it upon himself to finish his sisters porridge off!
To say rush bathing a 1 year old at 8 o'clock in the morning just before we are meant to leave on the school run is fun.........Nah i wouldn't say that!

Some preemies have no problems at all, some have loads and some are on a balancing act between. Which is where Ollie is.
We don't know if he is just a little on the slow side or if there is cause behind it.
Ollie is seen every 3 months by is Pead. Well it was meant to be in March but when you walk into the consultant office and tell the doc he has the wrong child's file but yet the doc carries on looking at the file hoping that Ollie would appear if by magic then we know it time to quite and rebook for when our normal consultant is back.
3 weeks later we go and see Dr J.
This was a very mixed appointment and one i had to go alone as It half term so the rabble are home.
Both Matt and I have our concerns regarding Ollie and his development but never did i think airing them would create the beginnings of whirlwind! Though it may not seem like it to some to us it is.
Reflux wise he doing great. He is a happy puker! Weight wise not so good, hasn't gain any in 2 months which for a child who weight gain you can set a clock too isn't so great.
But then i got on to explaining how we are worried by Ollie's posture and the fact he refuses to stand, he can sort of pull himself to standing and tried to cruse but his little feet get mixed up and he goes flop.
Dr J said he isn't happy with how floppy Ollie is. Even when you take into consideration his prematurity he should be alot stronger. And to be honest Ollie's posture is crap! He long sit with a lovely C shaped spine or his new fav is a W sit not great on both accounts. Ollie also has a absolutely massive head which is currently off the scales although looking at him it doesn't look out of the ordinary but growth wise it has increased quicker than it should and is cause for concern, would also explain why when sitting Ollie cant hold his head up right and it flops back....... Any way Ollie has now been referred to Physio and is being booked in for an MRI under GA which in all honesty is scaring the crap out of me! Really hoping we don't have to wait too long for the appointments as the wait is killing me!
